Summary:
Ensures that machinery and facilities are kept in good repair and working order.
Essential Functions:
Maintains tools and machinery in good condition.
Uses all tools carefully as instructed.
Installs new machinery and equipment.
Understands electricity fundamentals.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
A technician may be stronger in some of the following skills while less in others.
The individual should however bring strong proficiency in at least one of the following.
Works as an electrician troubleshooting and repairing electrical problems and by making modifications to machinery and facilities.
Works as a plumber/pipe fitter installing and performing repair to pipes, fittings and fixtures of air, water and hydraulic systems.

Performs such other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications:
Ability to read electrical, hydraulic and building schematic plans.
Ability to do minor repair welding and fabrication.
Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical and construction equipment.
Ability to read, write and follow detailed written and oral instructions.
Ability to work at heights.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to withstand the physical demands including occasional heave lifting.
