Cashier Cage I (Tunica)


The Cage Cashier I is responsible for all monetary transactions and exchanges with customers. Works only front window of all cage areas.


  • Customer Service with a smile

  • Maintain a professional and pleasant attitude with customers and co-workers

  • Redeems customers chips and coins

  • Sell coins and tokens for slot use

  • Run customer coins through Jetsort and remove bags when indicated

  • Cashing of checks for cash, utilizing computer terminals for Certegy and Central Credit

  • Credit/ Debit Card transactions through cash advance systems

  • Exchange of foreign currency and chips

  • Maintain imprest bank keeping transactions and paperwork organized and adhering to turn-in timelines of Main/Chips Bank

  • Thorough knowledge of Title 31

  • Verification of all currency in cashier imprest bank by the end of the shift

  • Complete Cashier Manual training

  • Adhere strictly to all Gaming Regulations

High School Diploma or equivalent with one year of prior casino cage experience preferred or two years banking experience required.


Mississippi Gaming Permit


  • Must have excellent money handling skills

  • Must possess excellent customer service and communications skills

  • Basic computer skills are necessary

  • Good attendance and a ?positive? attitude are a must

  • Must be a team player (accuracy, patience, speed and tolerance required)


  • Constant standing, reaching, lifting, eye/hand coordination for counting money

  • Kneeling and lifting of coin and chips up to 25 pounds

  • Reading, writing, color/value chip discrimination, handling and counting money, chips and other negotiable items

  • Repetitive wrist/finger motion

  • Dealing with constant specific customer requests

  • Ability to concentrate and retain many details in a rapid-paced, noisy environment


  • Working with others or alone

  • Work is performed indoors in a temperature-controlled environment

  • Work could cause slight eyestrain

  • Heavy customer contact

  • Varying conditions of noise level, illumination and air quality ( Dust from bills and JetScan)


  • Regular scheduled hours. Must be flexible if needed for occasional work outside of normal business hours.


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
