Maintenance Shift Superintendent

Manages maintenance activities and workers engaged in setting up, installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment, and in fabricating metal parts and tools by performing the following duties.
Directs workers in electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment.
Assists workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
Directs workers engaged in dismantling, assembling, and installing industrial machinery.
Requisitions and keeps supply of spare parts.
Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
Maintains time and production records.
Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
Schedules and leads regular and shutdown safety meetings
Identifies and takes corrective action to eliminate safety hazards
Supports SXP/PCC Safety and Environmental policies

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in the field of mechanical engineering with past maintenance engineering or maintenance supervisory experience.
3 years minimum experience in a heavy manufacturing environment such as steel, ferrous or non-ferrous extrusion or forging operations.
1-3 years of CMMS use along with storeroom functionality and its use in downtime tracking, planned work and preventative work.
Level 1 certification or higher on thermography or vibration analysis would be given special consideration.

Ability to work flexible hours as required, including weekends and holidays on off-shifts
Computer skills, including Microsoft office and autoCAD required; SolidWorks and Mapcom software experience a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
In depth knowledge of hydraulics and troubleshooting of 480v and below essential
Knowledge of materials, plc troubleshooting and crane repairs all a plus
Data and results oriented

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
