Horseshoe Security Officer (FT)

Be knowledgeable of and adhere to all rules and regulation, policies and procedures. Provide protection for the casino and all employees and guests.
Overall protection of company assets.
Guard all transfers of monies and chips on the casino floor as well as the physical transportation of hopper fills, chip fills and credit.
Interact with guests and employees in a professional manner.
Interact with local law enforcement agencies.
Knowledge of the Casino Control Act and attendant regulations as well as internal controls, policies, and procedures.
Maintain a written log of incidents involving guests or employees, and prepare additional detailed reports, as may be required.
Administer first aid and assist injured guests and employees.
Ensure departmental compliance with federal, state and local regulations, and with departmental and company policies and procedures.
Responsible for adherence to health, fire and safety regulations, identifies potential safety hazards and reports such to the appropriate personnel.
Support, promote and maintain outstanding guest relations within the courtesy guidelines.
Perform other duties, as assigned.
Individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Previous law enforcement experience preferred.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Must possess a valid state driver's license.
Ability to obtain the appropriate work authorization per gaming regulations required.
Ability to work in a drug free environment and pass a chemical dependency test, as required.
Must be able to walk, stand 80% of the time, bend, push, pull, climb stairs and run.
Must be able to perform tasks requiring repetitive motion.
Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 40 lbs. Must be able to be physically fit to open doors, protect the guest, the employees and the assets of the casino.
Must be able to work in a moderate noise environment
Must be able to work in smoke-filled environment.


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
