Horseshoe Facilities Maintenance Engineer (FT)

Obtain and possess necessary State or Federal license or certification in respective areas of responsibility. Must be able to get along well with co-workers and work as a team. Be available to work any day of the week and any shift. Must present a well groomed appearance. High school diploma or equivalent, required.
Maintains all mechanical and cosmetic items in guest rooms and public areas.
Assists Engineers and Mechanics in repairs.
Maintains a neat, clean, and organized work area in the Engineering Shop.
Prepares daily work forms.
Routinely inspects all lighting throughout the Hotel, identifying potential problems, and resolving same.
Responds to maintenance requests and house calls.
Maintains pool facilities as assigned.
Ensures a maximum level of service and satisfaction is achieved and maintained. Maintains a working knowledge and understanding of all rules, regulations and controls of the company.
Physical, Mental & Environmental Demands:
Must be capable of maneuvering for prolonged periods of time, both inside and outside, sometimes in extreme temperatures. Must possess coordination and dexterity to work with power and hand tools such as drills, electric saws, hammers, sewer snakes, etc.... Respond to visual and aural cues. Must be able to stoop, bend, jump and carry heavy loads. Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds. Must be able to maneuver on level surfaces, as well as up and down stairs. Must be able to think clearly and respond calmly in all situations. Must be able to learn and retain locations, operation and repair procedures of the property mechanical systems, equipment and life safety system. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
Level I is the entry-level for this classification basic trade skills are necessary for consideration. Personnel in the Level I classification are primarily responsible for conducting low level trade related duties as needed and provide all necessary assistance to higher level personnel and others to support the efficient repair, installation, maintenance and general upkeep associated with trade related responsibilities and other duties as assigned. Personnel with less than two (2) years of trade related experience shall be included in the Level I classification upon being hired.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
